Golf View our golf packages at Castlerosse Golf Club.
Tennis Free tennis is provided at the Castlerosse’s floodlit tennis court. Bring your own equipment or simply pay a refundable deposit for equipment and balls provided by the Hotel. Suitable for all age groups, adults and children alike.
Horseriding & Trekking The famous riding stables run by the O’Sullivan family is located just a 10 minute walk from the Castlerosse Hotel. Treks through the splendid scenery of Killarney National Park are organized for one, two or three hours duration. Equipment is provided. 1 hour €35.00 2 hours €60.00 3 hours €85.00
Bicycle Rental at the Castlerosse The location of the Castlerosse Hotel Killarney is perfect for families to spend a day in the safety of its surroundings with bike rides through the adjoining Killarney National Park. Bicycles can be rented from the Leisure Club from as little as €15 for adults and €10 for children. Safety equipment is provided by the hotel.
Sightseeing Tours Tours are booked by the hotel to places of interest and scenic splendour including Muckross House and Gardens, Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. Enquires and bookings to be made at the reception desk.
Boating and Fishing Trips Boat and fishing trips on the lakes and to Innisfallen Island are available from Ross Castle. Information is available at reception.
Walking Walk directly from the hotel through the Killarney National Park to Killarney Cathedral and town centre (25 mins) or along the lake shore to 14th century Ross Castle (45 mins) There is also a guided walk through the National Park available free of charge to Castlerosse Hotel Killarney guests. This walk commences each Saturday at 10.30am from the town centre. A full range of spectacular hill and mountain walks are available for the more experienced walker. Canoeing and Kayaking Spend a morning or afternoon exploring the deep, sparkling waters of the Lakes of Killarney by kayak or canoe, with an expert guide. From 15th century Ross Castle, paddle into Lough Leane, discovering wooded islands, limestone caves and local history. With an experienced, qualified guide learn the skills to master your kayak and keep a look-out for white-tailed sea eagles as they soar above Killarney National Park. Land at the ancient ruins of Innisfallen Abbey, once a 14th centurary monastic settlement, now home only to native red deer. Suitable for all abilities, from complete beginner upwards.
